Overview

Three Brothers Restaurant, nestled in the heart of Dover, New Jersey, is a charming diner that serves up hearty, comforting meals with genuine warmth. This unassuming spot at 9 N Morris St A feels like a local secret — a place where familiarity and quality meet without pretense.

The restaurant specializes in classic American breakfast with a touch of Greek influence, offering highlights such as the famous gyro platter and authentic souvlaki platters alongside beloved diner staples like pancakes, eggs, and Belgian waffles. Their breakfast menu shines with options like the Western Omelette with cheese and the Omelette Mexicano, which deliver generous portions and rich flavors. The savory waffle stands out here, crafted from a batter that’s more savory than sweet, making it a perfect partner to fresh fruit or syrup alternatives.

What truly sets Three Brothers apart is their commitment to getting the basics right. Eggs cooked to order, crispy yet tender bacon, and sides like corn beef hash all come together to create satisfying plates that resonate with a sense of home-cooked comfort. Their soups and house salads with grilled chicken also cater well to those seeking lighter fare, ensuring variety for every diner.

The atmosphere is intimate and unpretentious, embodying the spirit of a neighborhood diner where friendly staff greet you like family. The space, though modest, is welcoming — filled with the hum of locals and travelers alike. This is a place known for its authenticity and value, often described by guests as a “hole in the wall” gem that remains a steadfast staple in the community.

Three Brothers attracts a broad audience: from regulars who’ve come since childhood to new visitors looking for a quality breakfast close to the train station. Families, solo diners, and couples can all find something to love here, thanks to the food’s honest appeal and the staff’s warm hospitality.

If you’re in Dover and craving a classic diner experience with a subtle Greek twist, this spot is well worth your time. It’s a reminder that great food doesn’t need fancy surroundings — just heart, skill, and a welcoming table.

Oh my gosh - I love being so pleasantly surprised!! I admit I wasn't expecting much. The place we wanted to go to apparently burned down (yikes), so we were looking for second options in walking distance. And Yelp did not lead us wrong. This cute little hole in the wall gave me the best breakfast I've had out in a while. The waffle is really good - more of a savory than sweet batter, just right for sharing with something sweet like fruit or syrup (though I dearly wish they used real syrup, which they do not, alas). Husband's omelette with Taylor Ham was fantastic, perfectly cooked. His fries were tasty and made us think of Wendy's from our youth. My eggs were actually cooked right - medium with crisp edges. The bacon I asked for crispy - a dangerous proposition, since most places either ignore that and produce chewy salted leather, or burn the hell of it. Not here. The bacon was crisp and flavorful and delicious. Seriously. This is great. Friendly staff, good portion size, good price - cash only, so you know, but it's worth it. We take the train here often, and it's so good to find a decent breakfast place so close. You won't regret a visit.

This is a hole in the wall place that I love to come to. They are a dying breed and I hope they never go away. It is a small joint and is more of a diner than restaurant. They serve good ole comfort food. Everything is nicely done and the service is friendly. I got a soup and a salad. Both very good. Prices are reasonable too. Check it out!
